Musica Sacra Hungarica is a series of publications presenting the written and tangible memories of Hungarian church music from the Middle Ages to the end of the 19th century, which selects from the heritage of a wider geographical area than today. Among the documents, in addition to sources preserved or created in today’s Hungary, there are also materials from foreign libraries of Hungarian origin or intended for Hungary. The series includes critical editions of tunes and texts of genres, monographs dealing with their history in Hungary, facsimiles or transcriptions of medieval manuscripts, source catalogs, and lists of works.
